Awards

The deadline for submitting nominations has now passed. The shortlist will be announced in mid-March. Should you have any questions about nominations, please contact Chelsea Robinson.

Asset Manager of the Year Award
This category aims to reward those companies who best manage residential assets nationally today. They will have delivered not only bench-busting performance but will have also innovated through new funds and demonstrated bold investments or timed sales.

Investment Deal of the Year
Nominate the best developer, agent or funder who you think accomplished the best investment deal of 2011 in the UK. Deals that reaped a big financial return or one that displays impressive results from a clever solution will feature in this shortlist. The deal must have been completed during the time period of 2011 (January 2011 – December 2011 inclusive)

Large Developer of the Year (more than 1,000 units)
Judges will be assessing every aspect of performance from the number of units built to sales, finance, design, product range and build quality. The shortlist is likely to feature firms who have contributed or developed schemes which regenerate an area or invested in sustainability to improve a residential location. Developers that have pioneered new innovative forms of funding and finance are also good candidates to nominate for this award.  Which developer has continued to perform and sell the most units during the current climate?

Small Developer of the Year (less than 1,000 units)
This category is only open to those companies that have gained less than 500 units a year, with the same assessment criteria as Large Developer applying. This gives the opportunity for brand new companies or those smaller developers that concentrate on quality rather than quantity to be recognised. Every aspect of performance from sales, finance, design, product range and build quality will be assessed.

Development of the Year
This category will recognise a scheme that has incorporated elements beyond the norm.  Nominees should think of projects that may have incorporated elements such as, innovative or novel design features, sustainable benchmarks, strong environmental credentials, benefits to the local community, integrations of private and public housing. The judges will naturally be looking for schemes that have shown commercial success alongside these additional benefits that make the project stand out from the competitors. Which new development do you think has been a renowned success?

Residential Financier of the Year
This category recognises the bold investments and new ventures financiers have delivered in 2011. Who has invested the most in the residential market in the last calendar year? Who deserves to be recognised for their involvement in financially contributing to UK property in the recent tough market?

Newcomer of the Year
In this category we are turning the spotlight on the up and coming stars of the residential property industry that have arrived in the last 3 years. The award is open to individuals, start up companies or businesses that have recently branched into the residential sector. Which new property professional or company has started to make waves in the industry? In such a competitive market, who has repeatedly come to your attention and impressed?

Landlord of the Year
This award is aimed at organisations that have successfully increased portfolio size, value and occupancy as well as developing effective property management strategies that have benefited the tenants. It recognises the profitability of the company and looks for tangible evidence as to what pioneering ways they have managed their residential properties. The shortlist will contain organisations that have already begun to implement their strategy on growth, upkeep and occupancy (so it’s known to have worked) rather than ones who have a great (but as yet unproven) idea.

Residential Personality of the Year Award
This category is nominated by the judges to highlight an individual that deserves to be distinguished for their outstanding contribution to the residential market throughout their career.
